Community Engagement Associations and Networks  

UW Bothell is proud to be a member of several national and regional associations dedicated to civic and community engagement. These memberships provide opportunities for faculty, students and staff to advance their community-engaged teaching, research and public service. 


American Association of State Colleges and Universities 

The is a national organization that represents the sector of more than 500 regional public colleges, universities and systems that are united by a shared commitment to make affordable, high-quality education available to all students. AASCU supports its members through leadership development programs, public policy advocacy and initiatives that promote civic and global engagement, student success and regional economic development. 

The is a nonpartisan AASCU initiative that prepares students to be informed and actively engaged. ADP has promoted civic learning and democratic engagement through programs that emphasize civic literacy, bridge building, voter education and leadership development.  

Association of American Colleges & Universities 

The is a global membership organization dedicated to advancing the democratic purposes of higher education by promoting equity, innovation and excellence in liberal education. 

´¡´¡°ä&²¹³¾±è;±«â€™s initiative aims to deepen students’ global engagement in the classroom without the need for international travel by facilitating connections between international partners. COIL is a teaching method that fosters global competence through the development of a multicultural learning environment that links university classes in different countries.

Campus Compact  

is the largest and oldest national higher education association dedicated to higher education civic and community engagement. Campus Compact supports institutions in building the knowledge, skills and capacity needed to foster a just, equitable and sustainable future.

is a consortium of scholars, artists and organizers working together to envision and build a more just and liberated world. Through public scholarship, cultural organizing and institutional change, IA bridges academic and community divides to inspire collective imagination and civic action on pressing public issues.

(formerly Washington Campus Compact) is a network of higher education institutions dedicated to advancing the civic and public missions of colleges and universities across Washington state. It supports student success and community well-being through initiatives in academic engagement, civic leadership, environmental stewardship and social equity.
