UW Bothell鈥檚 Student Engagement and Activities organized an International Women鈥檚 Day event to 鈥渃elebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievement of women around the world.鈥� IAS faculty members Kari Lerum and Julie Shayne were invited to speak about their own activism and scholarship regarding women and feminism. They led a lively exchange about a whole host of topics including intersectional feminism, transnational resistance, IAS鈥檚 soon-to-be-launched Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies major, solidarity, and allyship.
