UW Bothell recognized for contributions to American Indian and Indigenous Studies

UW Bothell was recognized in a recent for its contributions to the UW's innovative projects in American Indian and Indigenous Studies. Last year, IAS faculty member William Hartmann facilitated a tri-campus collaboration that explored the role of creative community practices in advancing Indigenous wellness. With financial support from the Simpson Center for the Humanities, the UW Bothell Diversity Council, Cascadia College, and the School of Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences, he partnered with the to bring the traveling exhibition Lakota Emergence to Mobius Art Gallery and hosted three of its contributing artists for a series of engagements with faculty, students, and local community members.
