Midia De Souza鈥檚 life changed by UW Bothell scholarships
The impact of a scholarship transcends beyond the financial award. They provide students, like Midia De Souza, the opportunity – and inspiration – to find meaningful ways to get involved on campus, and even give back to their own communities. describe how she鈥檚 been impacted.
De Souza is a double major in Law, Economics & Public Policy and Media & Communications Studies, with a minor in Human Rights. She was awarded from the Worthington Endowed Scholarship and Washington D.C. Human Rights Seminar scholarship in 2019. De Souza鈥檚 experiences activated her to help found Huskies Dream Team, which provides support to DACA and undocumented students. She has also been recognized as a 2020 recipient.
