Orientation isn鈥檛 just a single event, it鈥檚 a journey made up of meaningful experiences designed to support your transition to university life. The process varies depending on which quarter you鈥檙e admitted and whether you鈥檙e entering as a First-Year or Transfer student, so you鈥檒l engage with the Orientation experience that best fits your unique path to UW Bothell.

After You Are Admitted to UW Bothell
You鈥檒l receive your next steps from Orientation & Transition Programs via email, so it鈥檚 important to set up your UW email account as soon as possible. All official communication, including messages from otp@uw.edu, will be sent to your UW email.
There are two major steps to the Orientation process which must be completed prior to registering for classes. First, all new students must , a self-paced online program, and the required . After that, you鈥檒l participate in an Advising & Orientation (A&O) Session, which varies based on student type and admission quarter. Space in A&O sessions are limited, so early registration is encouraged, you will not be able to register for classes until you complete A&O in full.
